Are you thinking about taking your Commercial Driver's License Test, but aren't sure of exactly what you need to know? Even if you have studied the state manual, the one you used to get ready for your temporary permit, you are probably still confused regarding what the test is going to be like.

The questions we hear are:

How am I supposed to do the pre-trip inspection?

Do I have to inspect both sides of the vehicle?

     Is there a time limit?

Which maneuvers will I have to do and how should I do them?

What are the rules of the road that I have to follow?

It may seem easy, but the test is a lot harder than it looks. The Pre-Trip  Inspection Test is actually a very detailed test that must be performed in a specific manner in order to satisfy the state examiners.

And even though the state manual mentions the maneuvers for the Skills Test, you need to know what is expected of you for all the maneuvers - the alley dock, the parallel park, straight line backing, and the reverse lane change.

And, last but not least, you will be expected to know what you should do and should not do on the Road portion of the test.

Well, here are the answers! We take the mystery out of the test. Our videos show you every part of the Pre-Trip Inspection Test, from how to name and describe each engine component to how to easily perform the air-brake portion of the Pre-Trip. The videos show you step by step how to perform all the maneuvers you may be asked to do in the Skills Test. The videos also take you through an actual Road Test, giving you test tips along the way, to give you the added confidence you'll need to pass the test.

If you are taking the test in a Class A vehicle, watch our tractor-trailer Class A video  If you are taking the test in a Class B vehicle, watch the straight truck Class B version.

The Class A and Class B tests are a little different so make sure to purchase the program designed for your particular needs.

Watch the videos as often as you want, and don't forget to practice, practice, practice!
